Assistant Coach – Emily Nordberg

Emily “Emie” Nordberg began swimming for the Frogs when she was 5 years old and has been a member of the team ever since! She also swam for Occoquan Swimming (OCCS) until age 17, qualifying twice for NASA Junior Nationals in Clearwater, Florida. Emily graduated from Grace Preparatory high school early in 2014, took a gap year, then began her freshman year and college swimming career at Division 1 school Gardner-Webb University (Coastal Collegiate Sports Association conference) in Boiling Springs, NC, where she is majoring in Exercise Science with a pre-Physical Therapy emphasis. In addition to holding several records for the Frogs (Girls 8 & under fly & tied for breast, 9-10 back & IM, 11-12 back & IM, 13-14 back & IM, 15-18 fly), some of Emily’s other honors include graduating high school as Valedictorian, Most-Inspirational Female Swimmer for OCCS and most recently the Freshman Math Award for Gardner-Webb University. Emily is also an author! Look for her book “The Song of the ἓan” on Emie said goodbye to the Frogs as a swimmer last year but is thrilled to be coaching full time.
